In 1995 HARIBO decided to support its innovative market drive by launching a nation-wide TV commercial.

The TV commercial dramatically increased awareness for HARIBO and helped to push the brand even further up the ladder of success. From being a niche player, HARIBO suddenly turned into a major player that reinvented the sugar confectionery market.


HARIBOY, who had already featured on all HARIBO bags, suddenly became a celebrity by appearing in HARIBO's TV advertising campaigns and at a variety of children's events throughout the UK. HARIBOY is now synonymous with the HARIBO brand.
