HARIBO products are made to extremely high international standards of hygiene and quality. All HARIBO production plants around the world are therefore certified to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000), which is widely recognised internationally and indicates the highest level of quality and safety standards throughout the production and supply chain. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot show groups of visitors around the factory because we must protect the entire production and filling processes. We hope all HARIBO fans will understand why we cannot offer any factory visits.
Our Goldbear costume is only used as part of HARIBO activities for events, advertising videos, etc. and unfortunately cannot be loaned to others.
We are unfortunately unable to produce custom-made products in small quantities. These requests would lead to a considerable slowdown of our production process, and we would then not be able to meet the high demand for our complete product range.
The minimum quantity for custom-made products, such as for personalised advertising materials, is five tonnes of goods. For example, this would be 500,000 mini bags, each 10g, in special foil with Goldbear or special fillings. If you are interested, please get in touch with us using our contact form.
We receive many requests every day asking us for financial and practical support for a range of causes and charity projects. As much as we would love to say yes to everyone, the huge number of requests means that we sadly cannot. We hope you understand that we are unable to take on any further sponsorships or projects of support at this time.
HARIBO exports its sweet treats to over 100 countries. Our export team works closely with long-standing sales partners. Unfortunately, we do not currently require any further partners.
The various elements of a mixed product are added to a mixing container with a set ratio before they reach the packaging machine. The pieces are mixed in this container and then packed by weight as a random mixture. Variations in the mixing ratio are inevitable with this type of random mixture. This is one of the reasons why all HARIBO products have a large window in the packaging so that you can always see what kind of mixture ratio you have before you buy the product.
HARIBO offers a wide variety of different fruit gummies, liquorice and foam sweets. Pretty much every HARIBO fan has a favourite product and most have also got their own top choice in the many HARIBO mixes. Of course, we’re delighted that everyone has their favourites and we would love to be able to cater for customers’ requests for a special pack of their favourite flavour.
However, shops just don’t have the capacity to have all of these packs on their shelves and it wouldn’t make sense for HARIBO’s production capacities either. We hope you can understand why it’s not possible!
Unfortunately, we cannot produce special products in small quantities. These requests would put a significant strain on our production processes and mean that we wouldn’t be able to meet the great demand for our standard range. We hope you will understand.
Most of the HARIBO products that we directly import for our range to Australia contain pork gelatine unless otherwise detailed in the ingredient panel. We currently have four 'veggie' products in the HARIBO range, which are SOUR SGHETTI 140g, PASTA FRUTTA 140g, BALLA STIXX STRAWBERRY 200g and BALLA STIXX FLAVOUR MIX 200g. These products are vegetarian or vegan.
A partially filled mini bag can sometimes get into the outer packaging, which is always calculated using the actual weight. A computer controls and monitors the weight of the outer pack to guarantee a consistent amount of filling. The outer pack is filled according to the net weight, so in this case, more mini bags were put in to reach the target weight that the computer was monitoring.
The Goldbears and many other HARIBO products get their colourful appearance from foods that are natural colourants, such as fruit and plant concentrates (e.g. safflower, spirulina or radish).
The HARIBO products sold in Germany that contain gelatin are mainly made with gelatin from pork skin. HARIBO has also been offering products that are produced without animal gelatin for many years.
HARIBO is all about choice. Our products are for everyone and we offer a variety of products, from non-vegetarian to vegetarian treats, that cater to different consumer preferences across various markets. Currently we have two vegetarian products available in Australia: Sour Sghetti 140g and Pasta Frutta 140g. Both products are labelled accordingly so that it is much easier for consumers to see what is vegetarian.
Because we use milk as an ingredient in some HARIBO products, we unfortunately cannot totally rule out the possibility that our products or the ingredients used in their production have been in contact with products that contain milk. They may therefore contain traces of milk (including lactose). Please always read the ingredients lists on the product packaging. Allergens that must be declared are highlighted in bold in the ingredients list.
Sugar is an important part of our products and continues to be used as an ingredient in almost all HARIBO sweets. HARIBO does not offer any reduced-sugar free products currently.
Due to the fact that we use wheat-based ingredients in some of our HARIBO products, it can unfortunately never be completely ruled out that the ingredients used for the production may have come into contact with gluten-containing products, thus it is possible that traces of gluten could be present.
We constantly further develop our products, and this can, therefore, lead to recipe changes. We would please ask you to always check the ingredient lists on the product packaging.

We are currently do not use nuts as an ingredient in our products manufactured in Germany.
However, it can unfortunately never be completely ruled out that the raw materials used for production may have come into contact with products containing nuts in exceptional cases outside our sphere of influence, e.g. at our upstream suppliers. We would please ask you to always check the ingredient lists on the product packaging. Allergens which must be labelled are highlighted in bold in the list of ingredients.
