Senior Controlling Manager - South Korea and Japan

Description and reporting line

The Business Controller is to support our South Korea and Japan markets. This role acts as a finance business partner to the business, working closely with the Country Managers and cross-functional teams to improve business performance and sustainable growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Country Finance Controller for Korea & Japan
  • Serves as a Commercial Finance Business Partner to co-pilot with Country Manager of South Korea and Japan
  • Be responsible for the full P&L on commercial controlling, including Monthly actuals commentaries, Forecast, identification of Risk and Opportunities
  • Develop and execute distributor/ direct account P&L model with distributors to ensure full accountability on in-market A&P spends.
  • Business cases and new transaction model lead
  • Lead in one of the key excellence areas (eg., Pricing, New Product Developement, Cost of Goods Sold, etc)
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders such as sales, Supply Chain, Trade Marketing and Marketing to drive business performance/ P&L actions

 

 

Key Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 -10 years of relevant working experience, ideally in FMCG or Retail Industry.
  • Experience with Finance Business Partner with trade spend management and commercial finance is essential
  • Effective team player, with a positive working attitude, pro-active, hardworking, organized, and willing to learn
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP will be an advantage
  • Work location: Singapore
  • Travel required: up to 20% to Japan and Korea
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Korean/ Japanese language skill will be a plus
