People have been enjoying our colourful HARIBO sweets for a century – and they can now enjoy them in more than 100 countries. As a family business in its third generation, we’re celebrating our 100th anniversary this year. The company’s founder Hans Riegel registered HARIBO GmbH & Co. KG in the Bonn trade register on 13 December 1920. HARIBO is now a leader in the gummies and licorice segment, has 16 production sites around the world and employs more than 7,000 people. The name HARIBO comes from HAns RIegel BOnn and represents happiness, variety and fun treats for young and old alike. The story of our success is based on the highest standards of quality and on the trust we have gained from consumers. We have a very special responsibility to those consumers, and to our employees.

We produce 160 million Goldbears daily. Our philosophy of “Quality first” provides the foundations for all of our products and services. All HARIBO production sites are certified to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000), which represents the highest quality and safety requirements throughout the manufacturing and supply chain.
