HARIBO SPOTLIGHTS REGIONAL APPRENTICES

HARIBO were proud sponsors of the first-ever West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards (WYAA), held in June this year.

The awards, facilitated by the Yorkshire Evening Post, were launched to demonstrate and celebrate the value of apprentices and apprenticeship schemes across the region.

HARIBO sponsored the Large Business Apprentice category, which was open to businesses with more than 250 employees and looked at the apprentice programme, the number of apprentices and training provider partnerships.

The Large Business Apprentice accolade was awarded to Solenis, a Bradford-based company that provides speciality chemicals for water-intensive industries.

Adrian Hyde-Douglas , HR Service Delivery Manager and Global Project Lead from HARIBO comments: "At HARIBO we have been investing in apprenticeships for many years. Our team provides invaluable guidance and is passionate about nurturing each colleague through their apprentice journey, because we recognise the talent, fresh ideas and energy they bring to our business now and in the future. "This is one of the many reasons we were proud to be advocates of the West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards. The ceremony was a true celebration of the value, achievements and success of apprentices and apprenticeship programmes.

"We would like to congratulate all of the winners from the 12 categories, especially Solenis, who were worthy winners and a fantastic example of how and why apprentice programmes can be so successful."
