INNOVATION & DRIVE DELIVERS TOP AWARD FOR GAS FAST

HARIBO was proud to take to the stage last month (October) to present the Entrepreneur of the Year accolade as part of its sponsorship of the Wakefield Business Awards 2021.

HARIBO, who has supported the event for over ten years, presented the highly sought-after title to David Draper from Gas Fast, a family-run business in Castleford.

David established his organisation back in 2002. Four years ago, with just two team members, he developed a management system to help sell products while managing customers and installers. Fast forward to 2021, and Gas Fast install 2500 boilers annually and employ a team of 25 staff, all thanks to David’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Adrian Hyde-Douglas, who presented the award at a prestigious ceremony held at the Theatre Royal Wakefield, commented: “This award recognised leadership, experience, commitment to colleagues and a genuine contribution to our region; entrepreneurial qualities that David Draper should be proud of.

“Not only did David identify an opportunity with Easydokk, but he had the vision and drive to make it a reality. He has been on a remarkable journey, one of incredible growth and success. Well done David and all the team at Gas Fast.”

Speaking about the sponsorship, HARIBO Managing Director, Jon Hughes added: “When we decided to sponsor the Entrepreneur of the Year category, we wanted to celebrate individuals that kick start and drive enterprise forwards. David from Fast Gas didn’t disappoint. He is a true inspiration, and we wish him and his team continued growth and success for the future.”
