SUPERDRAW SIZED SURPRISE!

A Local lady from Brighouse in West Yorkshire got a Superdraw sized surprise when she scooped £3,000 after winning the top prize in the Martin House Hospice Care for Children and Young People’s lottery, which was proudly sponsored by HARIBO.

The draw raised an impressive £18,000 in ticket sales, which will be used to fund the care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from across West, North and East Yorkshire, providing respite stays, emergency care and end of life care, as well as supporting families in bereavement.

The winner, who is still deciding on how to spend her winnings, is a regular supporter the hospice and comments: “I never thought about winning when I entered the Superdraw, I just thought it was a nice way of donating. I was completely surprised when I found out I’d won.

Zara Shillito, individual giving co-ordinator at the hospice, said: “We’d like to thank our sponsor HARIBO, whose support means the money raised goes directly to supporting families across our region who need our care.”

Julie Beaman added: “We have been supporting Martin House for many years and were keen to lend a hand with the Superdraw. We’re really pleased to see the amount raised knowing that this will provide much-needed help. Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thank you to all those that entered the draw.”
