Sr. Manager, Category Management
Start: immediately in Fields / United StatesThe Sr. Manager, Category Management will be a member of our newly formed Sales Center of Excellence at HARIBO of America. This highly impactful role will lead the development of Category strategies across all retail channels nation-wide, acrosss the United States, for Convenience, Grocery, Food, Mass, Drug, Value, Specialty, and Alternative channels. Leading a small team of Category Managers and Category Analysts, the Sr. Manager Category Management will report up directly to the Director of Sales Operations & Category Strategy.
This a remote, field-based position. The ideal Sr. Manager, Category Management will have 7+ years of Category Management experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods / CPG industry. Additionally, at least one (1) plus years of supervisory experience, experience working with Broker partnerships, a Bachelor's Degree, and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, nation-wide, with overnight stays.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the execution of HARIBO's omni-channel Category Strategy across all retail channels including Grocery, Food, Mass, Drug, Club, Value, Alternative, and Convenience channels
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Category Managers and Category Analysts
- Partner closely with and influence external Broker partners
- Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders across the HARIBO of America organization including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Build processes, tools, and dashboards
- Deliver pro-active insights using data sources including syndidated data ( IRI, Circana, Nielsen), Shopper data (Numerator), and customer-specific tools
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Category Management, Sales Strategy, or combination of related roles specificially in the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry
- 5+ years of experience, with a deep knowledge of, syndicated data tools such as Circana, IRI, Nielsen, and others
- 5+ years of experinece, with a deep knowlege of, retailer specific data tools, POS data, and Shopper Loyalty program data
- Experence with headquarters calls and presenting to senior level decision makers
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other field
- This is a remote, field-based position that requires the ablity to travel up to 40% of the time, nation-wide, with overnight stays
Preferred Qualificaitons:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience working with Broker partnerships
- Experience with Power BI
- 10+ years of experinece in the CPG / Consumer Goods industry
- 5+ years of experience specifically in FMCG - Fast Moving Consumer Goods
- 2+ years of formal supersory experience
- Candy, confectionary, or salty snacks experience
