General Laborer - Manufacturing
Start: immediately in Pleasant Prairie, WI / United StatesCome join HARIBO of America’s first ever North American factory! Located on-site in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, the General Laborer is responsible for a variety of duties in the Plant to support efficient and effective operations, including catching and dumping product, product inspection, and completing assigned rework with the goal of ensuring compliance with all quality, safety, environmental, and cost standards.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the General Laborer will be assigned to partner on various production lines or departments depending on daily production needs. In addition, the General Laborer role will be trained to fill in for Operator vacancies in the Kitchen, Mogul, and Packaging areas as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Support the safe, efficient Plant Operations by performing assigned duties such as catching and dumping of products, product inspection, and completing assigned rework with the goal of ensuring compliance with all quality, safety, environmental, and cost standards.
- Prepared to support any open Operator position in the Kitchen, Mogul, and Packaging area, as needed. Follows the assigned OJT trainings and completes them on time.
- Understand the production equipment being used and how to adjust when needed.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, including required work-safe practices. This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Provide support or relief for breaks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of one (1) year work experience. Three (3) years of progressive work experience, with machine operation in the food/beverage/pharma industry preferred.
- Requires basic computer skills to enable data entry tasks when needed. Experience with SAP and QMS software a plus.
- Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with percentages, and have basic knowledge of algebra as well as make fine adjustments in equipment settings.
- Requires the ability to read and understand technical manuals, SOP’s, and other process documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be flexible with work scheduling as well as overtime.
- Requires the ability to grasp concepts quickly while working in various departments.
- Requires teamwork and the ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with all associates.
