Analyst Category Management
Start: immediately in Rosemont, IL / United States

The Category Analyst plays a pivotal role in helping support our sales teams at HARIBO of America. This role will support the category insights, data analysis, customer suggestions and account manager support in helping drive success in key channels, to include convenience, alternative, and other retail sales channels. The Category Analyst will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Category Management. Are you HARIBO?
Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate office in Rosemont, IL, the ideal Category Analyst will basic Category Management or data analysis experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods / CPG industry. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time, nation-wide, with overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Execution: Support the execution of HARIBO’s Category strategy across retail channels
- Broker Collaboration: Partner closely with and influence external Broker partners to align on distribution and shelf priorities.
- Data Systems: Utilize tools and visual dashboards to streamline team reporting. Create dashboards,
- Insight Generation: Deliver proactive insights using data sources including syndicated data (NIQ / Neilsen IQ and Circana), shopper data (NIQ, Numerator), and customer-specific portal tools.
- Presentation Support: Help create compelling category stories and line review presentations for major retail clients.
- Monthly Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reporting of data. Generating and maintaining reports, through Microsoft BI, that enable our sales partners to deliver necessary business updates with their retail partners.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
- Assist in creating PowerPoint decks and “telling a story with data”
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of data and analytics focused roles, or sales roles, specifically in the consumer goods or data and analytics focused roles in the corporate headquarters role in retail industry
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or other related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of syndicated data tools such as Circana, IRI, Nielsen, and others
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience working with Broker partnerships
Skills
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Compensation and Benefits
Target Hiring Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidate’s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
