Goldbears Cake

For festive occasions or simply because it's fun: in this simple but impressive layer cake, one layer is dedicated entirely to Goldbären. Allow a little time – but it's worth it!

Ingredients

Dough
2 eggs
50 g sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
40 g cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
60 g flour

For the fruit gum layers

120 g HARIBO Goldbears
150 ml water

For the quark cream

90 g HARIBO Goldbears
500 g low-fat quark
125 ml milk
1 tbsp sugar
2 cups (200 g each) cream
2 packets vanilla sugar
40 ml water

1. Prepare the dough

Separate the eggs and beat the egg yolks with one-third of the sugar until a light yellow cream forms. Beat the egg whites separately until stiff and stir in the remaining sugar. Fold the beaten egg whites into the egg yolk cream.

2. Into the oven

Sift the flour mixed with cornstarch and baking powder on top and mix everything together carefully. Divide the dough and bake each half at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

3. The fruit gummy layer!

For the fruit gum layer, dissolve 120 g of gummy bears in 75 ml of water and pour into the cleaned and oiled springform pan. Then leave to cool.

4. The quark cream!

Mix the quark with the milk and sugar until smooth. Whip the cream in a bowl until stiff, add the vanilla sugar and fold into the quark mixture. Dissolve the white gold bears in the water in a saucepan, allow to cool slightly and fold into the quark mixture.

5. Cooling and layering

Now you can layer the cake however you like. But be sure to allow enough time for cooling.
Finally, decorate with gold bears. It will look amazing!
