Declaration of accessibility
Introduction and aim of the statement
We, as Haribo, are committed to making our website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This statement describes how we ensure accessibility on our website and what measures we take to facilitate its use for all.
Legal basis
Haribo strives to make its digital presence https://www.haribo.com/ accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The technical requirements for accessibility are set out in the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance 2.0. According to Section 20 BFSG, monitoring compliance with the requirements of the BFSG is a matter for the federal states. The market surveillance authority is the "Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen" (MLBF).
Services:
We operate a website that informs our customers about HARIBO and its products. The website contains inspiration and competitions relating to our colorful brand world.
Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.haribo.com/. We have made every effort to make the entire website accessible. However, some external content that is not directly integrated into our website (e.g. embedded content from third-party providers) may not yet be fully accessible.
Accessibility status
Our website largely meets the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) and is therefore accessible. The current accessibility status [as of: 01.07.2025] is as follows:
- Largely accessible: the website fulfills most of the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.2, however there may be individual minor barriers that will be resolved in the near future.
We are continuously working to remove all barriers and make the website accessible to all users.
Identification of deficiencies
Despite our efforts, there are still some areas on our website that are not currently fully accessible. These include:
- Images: Some graphics and images do not yet contain alternative text. These will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and added as part of regular updates.
- Outdated content: Content that was published before the current legal regulations came into force may not fully comply with current requirements. Subsequent adaptation would involve a disproportionate economic effort. We are continuously making newly created content accessible.
We are constantly working to remove these barriers and will improve these functions as quickly as possible.
