Assistant Store Manager - HARIBO Retail Shop -- Wrentham, MA

HARIBO of America will soon be opening our first ever retail shops in the U.S. very soon.  We are hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our upcoming location in the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets in Wrentham, Massachusetts, 10917.

 

The Assistant Store Manager will help ensure operational excellence at the store location while also providing training, coaching, leadership and mentoring to hourly store associates.  Reporting directly the Store Manager,  the Assistant Store Manager will act as the “manager on duty” in the absence of the Store Manager as well as greet customers, ring up orders at the register, stock shelves, and all other duties aligned to ensure smooth operations and a memorable customer experience.

The ideal Assistant Store Manager candidate will have 5+  years of work experience within a retail store environment and prior Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level responsibilities. The ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts is required and the ability to exhibit “Childlike Happiness” – one of HARIBO’s core values, and spread “Childlike Happiness” to our HARIBO retail shop customers by creating a memorable experience for all shoppers is essential. Responsibilities:

  • Act as “Manager on Duty” when Manager, HARIBO Shop is not on duty
  • Complete procedures to open and close the store safely
  • Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring a team of retail shop associates
  • Greeting customers, sampling activities – inside and outside of the store, ringing up orders, stocking shelves and backroom
  • Support retail store operations by supporting duties related to stock management, managing stock levels, ensuring adequate safety stock, and end-to-end stock management
  • Assist Store Manager with Staff planning, scheduling adequate store coverage.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service
  • Ensure all food hygiene processes are followed
  • Ensure accurate and safe cash handling processes
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues
  • Other duties as required

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
  • 3+ years of work experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service roles
  • Prior cash handling (cash register, point of sales systems, etc)  experience
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of th business – ability to work day (open and mid-days), evening (close), weekday, weekend shifts, and holidays
  • Ability to work on-site, everyday, at assigned physical HARIBO shop/store location
  • Frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally move up to 40 lbs
  • Occasionally bend, reach, climb (using a ladder)
  • This is a full-time, benefits eligible role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level role
  • 5+ years of work experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service roles
  • Prior experience in a high-touch, customer experience focused retail environment
  • Prior experience working at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlet mall
  • Multi-lingual a plus / Ability to speak multiple languages

Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range:  $55,000- $75,000  annually

 

This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidate’s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
